How Muslim Hands USA is Providing Relief To Gaza

In Gaza, millions of people are still enduring the worst of a humanitarian crisis that has spiraled to unprecedented levels, facing extreme hardships due to ongoing conflict, food insecurity, and a collapsed healthcare system. As the circumstances deteriorate, Muslim Hands USA (MHUSA) has partnered up with World Food Program (WFP) to provide urgent, life-saving assistance through our Gaza Emergency Appeal.

Why Gaza Needs Immediate Support

An astounding 96% plus of Gaza's population of 2.15 million people are suffering from extreme vulnerabilities in terms of food security. With extremely limited access to food, clean water, and medical care, families do what they can to survive. The health care system in the area is overwhelmed, resulting in the rapid spreading of diseases such as polio and skin infections because of extremely overcrowded conditions and poor sanitation.

The WFP's latest report highlights the dire need for sustained humanitarian efforts to avoid further escalation of famine and disease outbreaks. Without immediate intervention, the lives of countless children, women, and elderly individuals remain at risk.

Muslim Hands USA's Ongoing Efforts in Gaza

At Muslim Hands USA, we are committed to providing life-saving aid to Gaza's most vulnerable populations. Our Gaza Emergency Fund, in partnership with the World Food Program (WFP), focuses on addressing the immediate needs of internally displaced people (IDPs) who have fled the ongoing violence. Through our efforts, we have delivered over 88,000 hot cooked meals and emergency food parcels to families in desperate need. These meals are prepared in community kitchens throughout Gaza, providing nutritious, hot food to those who have lost access to essential resources. Each Food parcel for Gaza weighs around 41 Kg (90 lbs) and contains canned beans, chickpeas, rice, lentils, vegetable oil, iodized salt, and date bars.

We also provide specialized nutritional support to pregnant and breastfeeding women and children. These vulnerable groups face heightened risks due to malnutrition, and our targeted nutritional supplements help ensure their well-being.

Thanks to the generous donations from supporters like you, we have made significant strides in improving the living conditions of thousands of displaced families. Over $30,000 has already been raised through our Gaza Emergency Appeal, enabling us to:

• Deliver 88,000 hot meals to families across Gaza.
• Provide food parcels that feed a family of five for an entire month.
• Reach over 1.1 million vulnerable people across Gaza and the West Bank.

Our partnership with the World Food Program (WFP) has made this work possible. Together, we have created a rapid and effective response to displaced Gazans' acute food and
nutrition needs. Our feedback from the ground has been overwhelmingly positive, with communities expressing gratitude for the life-saving support they've received. For instance, the hot meal distribution program has been crucial in helping families who have lost everything. Yet, the situation in Gaza remains volatile. More than 200,000 people have been displaced in just the last week, and the needs are growing daily.
