This Ramadan, Be The Change
“Whoever helps break the fast of a fasting person, he will have the same reward as him without decreasing anything from the reward of the fasting person.” [Tirmidhi]
Ramadan is a time for spiritual renewal, prayer, and self-discipline. It strengthens our connection with Allah (SWT) and reminds us of the blessings we often take for granted. Every good deed during this sacred month is multiplied in reward, making it the most impactful time to give
The significance of fasting during Ramadan is to teach us the value of nourishment while enlightening us about the struggles, hunger, and hardships many face all around the world. This Ramadan, let us be inspired to give more this Ramadan and help those in their greatest need.
At Muslim Hands USA, we understand the importance of taking action and how every small contribution grows into a lasting hope.
With your donations, we can provide food aid, clean water and Zakat donations to communities facing unimaginable challenges. You can make an impact, whether by providing meals for families to break their fast with or offering Fidyah and Kaffarah (for those unable to fast).
How Your Ramadan Donations Can Help
Making Up for Missed Fasts: Fidyah & Kaffarah Explained

What is Fidyah?
Fidyah is a compensatory donation for those who are unable to fast due to illness, pregnancy, old age, or other long-term conditions and cannot make up the missed fasts later. Instead, they must provide meals for a needy person for each missed day of fasting.
The Fidyah amount is $8 per missed fast, which covers the cost of feeding one person. For those unable to fast for the entire month of Ramadan, the total Fidyah payment is $240.
By giving Fidyah, you ensure that those facing hunger receive essential meals, allowing you to still participate in the spirit of Ramadan and the act of giving.

What is Kaffarah?
Kaffarah is a penalty donation for those who intentionally break a fast without a valid reason and cannot fast for 60 consecutive days to make up for it. Instead, they must feed 60 needy people for each missed fast.
The required Kaffarah donation is $480 per fast, covering meals for 60 individuals, ensuring that those struggling with food insecurity receive vital assistance during Ramadan.
