Yes, upon sponsoring an orphan, you will get an orphan sponsorship pack consisting of pictures, orphan hobbies and other details. You can receive a final school report at the end of the year depending on the country the orphan resides in.

When you sponsor a child through Muslim Hands USA, you'll receive a comprehensive Orphan Pack containing: 

• Child's Profile: Detailed information about your sponsored child. 

• Recent Photograph: A current picture to help you connect personally. 

Annually, you'll receive an update report detailing: 

• Educational Progress: Insights into the child's academic achievements. 

• Well-being Status: Information on their health and overall circumstances. 

• Updated Photograph: A new picture showcasing their growth. 

If you wish to request additional updates on your sponsored child's progress, please email us at [email protected]. Include your Donor ID and Orphan ID in your message to facilitate prompt assistance.

Yes! Sponsors are encouraged to write letters to their sponsored orphan. This personal connection can mean a great deal to the child. If you'd like to send a letter, please follow our communication guidelines available on our website. 

For additional updates, you can also request a progress report by emailing [email protected], including your Donor ID and Orphan ID. 

Sponsorship continues until the child turns 18. However, if they are still in school at that time, support may continue until the end of the academic year to avoid disrupting their education. Our priority is ensuring stability and opportunity so they can transition into adulthood with confidence.

Muslim Hands ensures only the most deserving children are selected for sponsorship. Field officers request legal documents from families, conduct home visits, and assess living conditions.  Yes, your orphan sponsorship is Zakat-eligible. Please ensure you specify this when setting up your donation.

It would be ideal if you could provide 60 days’ notice so we can find a replacement sponsor for your orphan. If you cannot do this, in the interim, we will support your orphan through the General Orphan Fund until the child finds a sponsor. If you cannot sponsor an orphan, you can continue supporting orphans by donating to this fund.
