Cow

When you provide a family with a cow, you provide a source of continuous wealth and benefit. Not only do they provide regular milk for the family, but the excess milk is a sustainable source of income.

The cow’s unique digestive system means they can eat otherwise indigestible food and graze on land which is unsuitable for growing crops.

Sadaqah Jariyah: An Ongoing Charity

Sadaqah is a voluntary act of giving in Islam. Whilst Zakat is obligatory, Sadaqah embodies the spirit of generosity and empathy towards the less fortunate.

Sadaqah holds the power to transform lives and uplift communities in need.

Our multiple Sadaqah Jariyah projects across the world are changing lives drastically. From Orphan Sponsorships to feeding people in Yemen through our Bread Factory every dollar donated can have a profound impact on those suffering.

The difference between Sadaqah & Sadqah Jariyah

Sadaqah & Sadaqah Jariyah are both forms of voluntary charity however, they have different characteristics.

Sadaqah refers to any voluntary act of giving in Islam. This can be in the form of money, goods, or even a kind gesture. Along with this, it is given without a specific obligation and can be given at any time and to any person that is deserving.

Sadaqah Jariyah, also known as continuous or ongoing charity, refers to charitable acts that continue to benefit others over time. Sadaqah Jariyah is highly encouraged in Islam as it allows someone to contribute to good deed that benefits peoples for generations. An example of Sadaqah Jariyah includes building or supporting a water well, a masjid, a hospital or any infrastructure that provides ongoing benefit to a community.

The reward for Sadaqah Jariyah continues for as long as the benefit continue to reach others.

In essence, while both Sadaqah and Sadaqah Jariyah are acts of voluntary charity, Sadaqah is generally immediate and can be directed towards any charitable cause, whereas Sadaqah Jariyah focuses on creating lasting benefits that continue to provide help and blessings over an extended period of time.

This Muharram, your Sadaqah has the power to transform the lives of communities worldwide. Join us in leaving a lasting impact through the generosity of Sadaqah, embodying the spirit of voluntary giving in Islam.
