What Is Muharram?

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ described Muḥarram as the “Month of Allah” (Muslim 1163)

Muharram 2026 marks the beginning of the Islamic New Year and one of the four sacred months in Islam. As Muslims around the world prepare for Muharram and Ashura 2026, many will spend this blessed time fasting, reflecting, and increasing their worship. The sacred month of Muharram reminds us of the faith of Prophet Musa (AS) and the importance of justice, mercy, and compassion.

One of the best ways to honor Muharram is through charity. Giving Sadaqah in Muharram helps provide clean water, support orphaned children, and deliver emergency relief to vulnerable communities in Gaza, Yemen, Pakistan, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and The Gambia.

This Muharram 2026, honor the values of compassion, mercy, and sacrifice by helping provide water to those in need.

Your Sadaqah Jariyah can help build sustainable water wells and bring relief to communities in crisis.

Giving water is one of the most rewarding acts of charity in Islam. It saves lives, restores dignity, and continues to benefit families long after it is given.
